I'm calling in women who silently carry body image shame.

I'm calling in women who wish to mend their relationship to their ancestral roots and food
I'm calling in women who have been disconnected from their ancestral foods due to Colonization
In my experience working with hundreds of brilliant, talented, and inspiring women, I have learned that what often holds us back from become more fully and authentically ourselves, and thriving, are limiting, subconscious beliefs about our bodies and how we may be perceived by others.
When gone unchecked and un-examine, those limiting beliefs can prevent us from sharing our gifts, from feeling safe and at home in our bodies and from being visible in our mission and work.
I also belief that women like you are ready to shed and heal those toxic narratives and reclaim wholeness.
I feel deeply inspire and passionate in holding transformational spaces that address many taboo subjects and themes like body image.
My purpose is to walk with you in this container so that you can take up more space in the world as you heal your relationship to nourishment because the world needs you thriving, not shrinking.

Do you feel that there is a connection between your plate, your relationship to food and the way you perceive and relate to your body?
I believe that many of us women carry unconscious and toxic beliefs around food and nourishment, and that those beliefs often steam from subliminal Patriarchal messages rooted in restriction and punishment.
I also belief that we live in a culture that subliminally shames women's bodies and fosters self-rejection and self-abandonment and this is how the beauty industry thrives.
Do you see this connection?
Do you feel that your relationship to food and to your body is deeply influenced by beauty standards that are more often than not unrealistic and dictated by the Patriarchy?
Do you secretly struggle to feel at home in your own skin? Especially if your body type doesn't fit the beauty standard?
Do you find yourself harsh judging your body and your diet and so you often restrict or punish yourself?
Do you feel a desire to change and heal your relationship to your body and how you subconsciously speak to yourself when it comes to diet, food and to nourishment?
I believe that when we are met with compassion within a safe women's container, we are able to heal subconscious and deeply held beliefs around body image and diet culture that are not even ours but dictated by culture and often by the patriarchy.
In my experience working with hundreds of women, I believe that there is a strong connection between food and body image.
Are you ready to prioritize nourishment and vitality over external validation and expectations?
If any of this resonates, then decolonize your diet is for you.

Subconscious programming may look like adopting the idea that the Mediterranean diet is the best diet for longevity and while this may be true for some, often for those of us who have been severed from our ancestral roots and identities, this only removes us and further disconnects us from our cultural identities and roots.
When we connect to our bodies in a positive way and begin to question subconscious programing like adopting somebody’s else diet because it is considered more refined or excessive fasting even when our bodies need nourishment instead of restriction to root us in, we begin to reclaim our body sovereignity and safety.
What stories about ancestral foods and diet did you grow up with, and which stories do you wish to reclaim in Decolonize your Diet?

Kiki Jacobs changed her life
Another thing that I feel makes Marilu and her work so special is that she doesn’t make it about her. She makes it about the medicine… and she’s a teacher that empowers her students. Working with Marilu we learn how to find our own medicine, how to connect to our own ancestral path

Lily velo reclaimed her time
If you have been on a healing journey and sought out different healing modalities but still feel like you are stuck, Marilu’s offerings will change that. I know because I was that person. I have done therapy, accupuncture, yoga, somatic practices, 1:1 coaching, and while they have offered me healing, none have been as transformational as what I have experienced with Marilu. Her medicine is potent

Daisy Villasenor found Peace within
I am deeply grateful for the healing I have received from Marilu- -such strong, patient and kind healer and teacher-When I decided to join the 16-weeks Embodied Leadership container, I was definetely on a donward spiral. Having gotten sober 10 years ago and having completed 3 years of therapy, I was able to recognize that I needed help. There was something in me that knew western therapy was not what I needed this time. My spirit was longing to reconnect to something much deeper.

the PATRIARCHY has convinced you that your body is not enough, it is time to heal this and to return back home to your body temple through food and nourhsment.
Decolonize your diet begins on Sunday, November 8th at 4pm - 6 PM pst & Meets for 8 consecutive weeks
